Lumberjanes x Gotham Academy Cover by Veronica Fish

This festive and colorful cover is the Fried Pie variant for the first issue (of six) from the crossover of the year! Back in 2016 Boom! Studios partnered with DC Comics for this YA classic and Veronica Fish’s artwork is at once playful and iconic.

We adore DC’s Gotham Academy and it’s been on our wish list to have them somehow meet the Lumberjanes. From the great characters to the fun stories, we saw a world in which these two groups could coexist. Fast forward and here we are—the crossover event wefve dreamed about and canft wait to bring to you!

Something sinister is happening at a mysterious building deep in the woods, drawing the Lumberjanes and the Gotham Academy kids separately to investigate. Is it a weird cabin? An abandoned asylum? The two groups band together to find out what exactly is going on.

As a deep collector of Veronica’s artwork I should be somewhat desensitized but I am consistently blown away. This comes with two additional prelims as well as a signed copy of the actual comic. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: if you have a shot at getting art from Veronica & Andy Fish, don’t hesitate; they always go above and beyond expectation.
