Frequently Asked Questions

How do I become a guest on the podcast?

Send us an email (info@popsequentialism.com) with your complete contact info and all the reasons why you’ll make a great guest and if we dig your pitch we’ll follow-up with a range of dates and times.

Can I suggest a topic to cover on the podcast?

Absolutely! We’d love to hear your suggestions for show topics, guests, and live broadcast venues. If we pick your topic, we’ll be sure to give you a shout-out on the podcast.

Do you buy comic books?

Yes, we purchase and consign comics all the time! Whether you’ve got a single CGC graded key issue or a massive collection, we’re interested. Send us a list of what you’ve got and be sure to include a condition report for each book and your complete contact info. Let us know if you have a price in mind and if it seems like a good opportunity we’ll be in touch. We sometimes consign rare books, toys, original art and other collectibles, too.

Do you buy art?

Yes! Our focus is rather specific, but we are always looking for the right published comic book and comic strip art, animation production art, published sci-fi, fantasy and horror art, and on-camera movie props that fit our focus and fanbase. Send us low-res jpegs (1000 pixels tall or wide at 72 ppi) of the pieces you want to sell. Include one clear, non-angular shot and as many detail shots as necessary to accurately convey condition. Be sure to let us know if you’ve got a price in mind and we’ll let you know if we’re interested in buying or consigning.

If I buy something and I'm in Los Angeles can I pick it up in person?

Sure! We’d love to meet you and give you your item in person if possible. Let us know your schedule and we’ll advise of our availability.

How long will it take me to receive my item if I purchase online and need it shipped?

Most items will be packed and shipped in a few days. Some items may require custom packing and that can take longer, so we set a deadline of 10 business days for domestic orders and 17 business days for international orders, but in most cases you’ll probably receive your purchases within a week.

If I don't see what I'm looking for on your website is there any chance that you have it or can find it?

Maybe! Let us know what you want and if we can get it for you, we’ll let you know the price and turnaround time.

Who would win in a fight between Batman & Superman?

Under normal circumstances the son of Krypton would be victorious. Of course, injecting kryptonite into the scenario could very well change that outcome. But here’s where it gets complicated: in a battle between Superman and Shazam, my money’s on Billy Batson’s alter-ego, but in a battle between Shazam and Batman, I think Bruce Wayne would emerge victorious. So if Batman can beat Shazam, and Shazam can beat Superman, why can’t Batman beat Superman? Well, for one, Shazam is empowered by magic which is something to which Kal El has exhibited a long-established weakness. But Shazam is the mega-powerful transformation of a good-natured kid, and a fair fight between Superman and Shazam would be just that: a fair fight. Batman has shown his willingness to fight dirty, and I am sure that he would be able to pinpoint and exploit a weakness–which could be as simple as tricking Shazam into reverting back to Billy Batson and bashing the poor kid’s brains in. Superman, while also something of a boy scout, is not quite as naive or inexperienced as Shazam, and if Bruce ticks him off, he could totally incinerate him (stopping short of killing him, of course).
