Description

The Secrets of Akko-chan (ひみつのアッコちゃん Himitsu no Akko-chan) also known as Akko’s Secret is the second, 1988 anime adaptation of Fujio Akatsuka’s groundbreaking magical girl manga. It was produced by Toei Animation, and ran on Fuji TV from October 9, 1988 to December 24, 1989. Character design was reimagined by Yoshinori Kanemori, a veteran of Go Nagai’s jumbo-machinder animes of the 1970s and animation director of Galaxy Express 999 and Twilight of the Cockroaches, and episodes were helmed by Sailor Moon director, Hiroki Shibata.

This is a key master cel set up, complete with cel, douga, and painted background of the main character, Atsuko Kagami (the titular Akko-chan), and her pet cat, Shippona, making this among the most desirable cels from this popular and important series.

The cel and background are attached.
