CAMILA by Salvador Valls (1959 Pop Art from Spain)

Camila was a popular Romance strip published in the Spanish Magazine, Florita in 1959. This beautiful, one-page-complete story illustrated & inked by legendary pop artist, Salvador Valls, is hand-signed by the artist and includes a Certificate of Authenticity from his Spanish archive.

Valls worked in sequential art primarily from 1951 to 1961, and is best known as a cover artist. His comics were translated and reprinted in Italian and French where they were published as Fumetti and Bande Dessinee. !950s Comic art from Europe is exceptionally rare, and single-pagers like this are perfect for framing.
