Marjorie Ellen Webster was an early to mid 20th century contemporary of Norman Rockwell and Evaline Ness. Her original drawings are exceptionally rare, and this elegant graphite on onion skin vellum illustration of Cupid and the Three Fates–which appeared in the 1946 publication, Fateful Frolics, also includes the original typed artist’s proof of the book jacket blurb with red pen corrections. This artwork comes from the collection of comics Hall-of-Famer (and 3D genius) Ray Zone, who passed away in 2012.
