Paradax (Strange Days) by Brendan McCarthy (end title color guide)

Brendan McCarthy developed Paradax as a pre-Watchmen anti-hero for a series of strips in the UKs Strange Days anthology comics mag. He then got his frequent collaborator and friend Peter Milligan to punch-up the script and the two were off and running.

This is a hand-painted color guide with an acrylic overlay of the lettering.

Paradax would directly inspire the duo’s later Zenith comics, but was also influential to writer Grant Morrison’s later Doom Patrol run for it’s Dada sensibility and high weirdness. Published McCarthy color work is Extremely Rare.
